In an effort to understand the reason people abandon their animal companions we interviewed several rescue agencies and shelters. With unsurprising but very distressed responses

 

 

Shelters Speak

 

60% of the shelters stated the reason animals are dropped at their door was due to family relocation

 

Almost 25% of the reasoning was for the sudden decrease in family funds

 

People should not have to make the decision to leave any loved ones because of loss of wages or home. There should always be more to turn to than the shelters.
